Trey Haley
Co-Executive Producer/Director
Trey Haley is President and Partner at Tri Destined Studios. He is responsible for overseeing film and television production and post production adaption and delivery. He is also tasked with managing diverse venture collaborations, co-productions and strategic alliances alongside Nikaya D. Brown Jones (CEO) and Greg Anderson (President of Film). In addition to his Studio responsibilities, Trey Haley is also an in-demand filmmaker who has directed a variety of genres and multi-media projects.
Currently, Trey is the Director and Co-EP of Carl Weber’s “The Family Business” acquired by BET as an eight-part television series; and is Weber’s top NY Times Bestselling novel to date. He also recently stepped behind the lens for BET’S first original Christmas movie, ‘Throwback Holiday,’ starring Jennifer Freeman, Robert Ri’chard, Rhyon Brown, Jean Elie, KJ Smith and Vanessa Bell Calloway which premiered this past Christmas and features original music by Grammy Award winning producer Daryl Simmons. Trey’s next film is the Rom-Com ‘Always a Bridesmaid’ written by Yvette Nicole Brown.
Other recent films directed by Trey Haley include the faith-based film “The Preacher’s Son,” starring Christian Keyes; the mystery/thriller “Woman on the Edge,” starring Rumer Willis; the TF1 drama “A Mother’s Sacrifice,” starring Kristy Swanson and Carl Weber’s NY Times Bestselling drama/thriller, “The Man in 3B,” starring Lamman Rucker, Christian Keyes, DB Woodside and Billy Dee Williams, which had a limited theatrical release. The “Man In 3B,” also received the CAPRI Capital Partner Award for “Best Film” at the Pan African Film Festival and was nominated as “Best Independent Film” at Black Reel Awards
Trey is often called upon to share his expertise in film/television production and business affairs at notable film and television forums for leading industry organizations such as the Hollywood Diversity Association, the Black Professionals Summit, the Bronze Lens Awards, The Hollywood Black Film Festival, Urban World and the Pan African Film Festival. He also conducts filmmaking master classes that integrate discussions and hands-on learning to address the creative, technical and business aspects of film and television at collegiate institutions.
Trey was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. He attended the University of North Texas and majored in Radio, Television and Film. After relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television, Trey was mentored by some of the top music video directors in the industry. He was also fortunate to have further honed his production skills at several leading television and film production companies including Morgan Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment.
